We teach two very different students. The first has never driven and is starting from nothing. The second has driven for thirty years at home and is finding Thailand harder than expected, because the lane discipline, the U turn culture and the sheer density of motorbikes are nothing like the roads they learned on.
Both are welcome and both get a different lesson plan.
If you already drive at home
The hardest adjustment is not driving on the left. It is the motorbikes. They filter, they undertake, they emerge from side sois without looking, and they occupy the space your mirrors tell you is empty.
We spend the lesson on exactly that: mirror discipline for a country where the danger comes from the side, U turn lanes, and how to make a left turn without cutting across a rider you never saw.
Frequently asked questions
Can I learn in an automatic?
Yes, and most students do. If you want to drive manual we can teach that too, though almost every car for sale or rent in Pattaya is automatic.
Do the lessons include the licence?
They lead into it. We price the training and the licence service separately so you only pay for the part you need, and most clients take both together.
Driving here for the first time?
