Two things matter when renting a bike in Pattaya, and neither is the daily rate. The first is that nobody should be holding your passport as security. It is a widespread practice, it leaves you unable to prove your immigration status, and it is entirely unnecessary.
The second is that you need the right licence. A car licence does not cover a motorbike, and an insurer will use that to decline a claim after an accident.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a motorbike licence?
Yes, specifically a motorbike licence. This is the single most common gap we see, and it is the one that turns a minor accident into an uninsured one. We can get you licensed quickly if you are not.
Is a helmet included?
Yes, and wear it. Beyond the fine, head injuries are the reason motorbike accidents here become life changing rather than merely expensive.
I have never ridden before. Can I still rent?
We would rather put you through a session on our training ground first. It takes an afternoon and it is the difference between riding here safely and finding out the hard way.
Renting for a month or more?
Ask us for the resident rate on LINE. And if you have never ridden, book the training ground first.
